For our Competence Center Cement (CCC) Europe we are looking for a Senior Maintenance Manager (f/m/d).

The Senior Maintenance Manager actively supports the Heidelberg Materials plants in all maintenance activities and is directly involved in ‘’HMs digital future’’ e.g. implementation and use of Condition Monitoring systems / AI systems.

This role is responsible for all relevant equipments, utilized in the cement production process e.g. rotary kiln, crushing and grinding equipment. This includes all aspects of the equipment life cycle, from purchasing to maintenance and improvement with focus on equipment reliability.

Strong involvement in implementation of our digitalization strategy is expected too.

The position offers significant opportunities to influence the success of Heidelberg Materials. To ensure reliable and cost-effective operation of our plant equipment, is one of our major targets.

This position will be located in Heidelberg, Germany and report to the Team Leader Maintenance Europe.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

  • Support plants during major repair activities, including on-site troubleshooting

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of annual plant overhauls

  • Develop cost-efficient repair strategies based on inspection results and condition monitoring data

  • Maintain close collaboration with equipment manufacturers and lead negotiations in major repair projects

  • Advise cement plants on modern maintenance processes, procedures, and techniques

  • Contribute to group-wide maintenance initiatives with a focus on digitalization and advanced condition monitoring systems

  • Conduct training sessions and support the execution of Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)

  • Define and implement maintenance standards and technical specifications

  • Establish guidelines for efficient maintenance processes

  • Provide expertise on spare parts management

  • Deliver advanced maintenance training for plant personnel

YOUR PROFILE

  • University degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent

  • Minimum of 8 years hands-on experience in maintenance of equipment utilized in the cement production process like rotary kilns, grinding equipment and maintenance management.

  • Excellent knowledge in the practical repair procedure

  • Knowledge in planning of major plant overhauls (in MS-Project) would be an advantage

  • Condition monitoring analysis skills are of advantage

  • High social competence and intercultural sensitivity for dealing with our international partners

  • Excellent English language skills, French and German language skills of advantage

  • Willingness to extensively travel abroad
